Misano Adriatico (Italy) 23 June 2019
Randy Krummenacher played a starring role at the Misano World Circuit today. The Swiss rider, along with his team-mate Federico Caricasulo, led the way in what became an incredible race. Starting from third on the grid, he soon moved to the front of the group, battling with Italian Caricasulo until the very last lap. A memorable race that saw the two Team Bardahl Evan Bros. riders battling it out for first place all the way to the final turn. In the end, it was Krummenacher who got the better of his team-mate, Frenchman Lucas Mahias crossing the line behind the pair.
Thanks to today’s result, the FIM Supersport world championship leader consolidates his position in the standings, with a 22-point lead over Caricasulo.
#RK21: “It was a difficult race, there was little grip and this made it all a little more complicated. Federico and I fought for the win all the way to the line and I thank him for having spurred me on. A 22-point lead is helpful but we still have five races to go and need to continue to work, improving and giving it our all. I now have my mind focused on Donington where we will race in two weeks’ time. I hope to continue in this way. I am doubly happy today as I can celebrate with my family, friends, fans and sponsors. I dedicate this victory to them”.
