RANDY KRUMMENACHER TO COMPETE IN THE FINAL ROUND OF THE “FIM ASIA ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP” IN PLACE OF ANTHONY WEST Published at 06.11.2018
Having concluded the FIM Supersport World Championship in fourth place, Randy Krummenacher is not about to stop and announces his participation in the final round of the Asia Road Racing Championship. The Swiss rider will be on board Team WeBike Ikazuchi Yamaha YZF R6, replacing Australian Anthony West, the current leader of the ARRC Supersport 600 class, with 136 points and a 34-point lead over the second-placed rider. The sixth and final round will take place over the weekend of 1-2 December at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, with one race on the Saturday and another on the Sunday. Krummenacher, who scored a win at the very same Thai circuit earlier this season, was keen to accept the challenge proposed by West and Team WeBike Ikazuchi.
#RK21: “I’m pleased to be able to compete in the final round of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship. I consider it a high-level series and so I didn’t hesitate to accept the invitation. It’s definitely a new challenge for me and there are some technical differences with respect to World Supersport, starting with the tyres. I hope to be able to score good results at this track, one I really like in fact. I want to thank Team WeBike Ikazuchi and Anthony West for having thought of me and for giving me the opportunity to take part in this final ARRC round. I hope to be able to repay them with the best possible result.”
